Can anyone ID this? It has been sitting in a neighbor’s field a long time. He said he bought it from the builder in the 70’s, who was located in the China Lakes area of Maine. He can’t remember his name, but said they were popular back in the day. I was thinking it’d be a cool project for me and my son, but he won’t sell it...yet.

Samp I have no idea what it is but could you run the reg numbers through the correct state bureau to find out what it says on an old registration?
It's on the hull there but I can't make it all out.

Samp , looks kinda like a lost cause , especially if the nieghbor isnt ready to sell , might check out glastron carlson challenger in va beach , va. some of the glastrons from the early mid 70,s actually are pretty stylish and are collector items. i was considering it myself but allready have a few to many boats . cool that you are looking for project for father son time , wish my dad had spent time with me like that back in the day!

Hard to tell with the snow on the front, but looks a lot like an old Pearson Mate. I'm only guessing that because I have one that needs a complete rehab. Seat mold looks the same though, cant tell if that one has a hard-ish chine to it. From what I've found Pearson only made them for a few years in the late 50's, but the molds must have gone somewhere.

Sorry fellas, checked out for a while. I think I had what Jerry had....
Turns out, the old guy’s nephew is a member on here, recognized the boat and is reclaiming it. He remembers fishing on it, and learned to waterski with her. I guess she’s not dead quite yet-Thanks and later!
