So I am thinking of changing the format of the forum to be just like stripers247.com and thehulltruth.com.. since that is the software that a lot of guys are used to and it is a whole lot simpler to use..taking feedback on this idea.. let me know what you think?

Perfect!!!! just remember....full keel single inboards ONLY ! LOL!
doesn't matter where/who makes the hull.

Keep the "downeaster" theme traditional.

Outboards, IOs need not apply! LOL

I'm offended by that inboard-only comment! So is my boat!

Anyways, I like the forum, but frankly, the software isn't great. I vote for the change.

I vote YES, this format is a little funky and not that intuitive

My second vote is that we get rid of the Bayliner Banner Ad that is appearing at the top of each page for me tonight! Bayliner - It doesn't get much worse.

Thanks for the responses.. I am currently working on converting the site.. all of your member names and posts and attachments will remain here where they were.. it will simply be a better format..In terms of the bayliner ad...they just pop up on their own and there is no way to change it!! hopefully they will go out of business

OK, I'll fess up. I do NOT own a "downeaster" as I define one.
"A full keel single inboard and protected running gear".

I'm a wannabe, not for long!! LOL

Here's a pic of my "Reel Pleasure". A 96 31 Blackfin Combi Hardtop with new Cummins RECON 6BTA 370 power. Hauled her for Hurricane Iren.e

I'm doing my DE shopping here on this forum, on noreast.com and with all the "full keel single inboard" DE builders in ME,NH, and MA.

Regards, Bill D

I've always liked Blackfins. Good luck in your search BillD.
