ethanol and urea (cow pee)
just a heads up of whats coming
along with rumors of retrofitting existing powerplants regardless of age or their standing in the epa certifications on the date of manufacture
The BlueTec diesel in my car is a urea injected engine certified in all 50 states. (yes CA too).
ZERO smell/fumes, uses about a gallon of Adblue every 10,000 miles.
Whether we agree or not, this IS the future of diesel engines.
EVERY marine diesel manufacturer is looking @ a "build schedule" to meet EPA compliance. Tier III is coming soon. Figure 2018 forward we'll be dealing with urea injection.
btw, the new QSB 6.7 Cummins is a Tier III engine.
FWIW,
