A 10 inch electradyne hauler, what is the typical speed it spins ?
And how is it measured, ft per minute or rpm ?
I would imagine hydraulic is faster and need be you can bump up the idle.
No room off my engine for a hydraulic pump and the Powerwinch Capstan 1000 I have now is way to slow to haul my anchor.
When I rip up my deck (very soon) I plan to do some work and modify my wash rails and plan to build a box to mount a hauler below my gin pole.
Thanks

Do you have a PTO off your transmission?
I'm running a 25 GPM pump off the pto with another 9 GPM pump piggy backed off that.
Don't have to bump idle up or anything, it will make a trap skate right across the top of the water.

Ronnie let me know if you want one, you'll get a hell of a deal :D, you can go pick it up or they'll ship it to ya. I sell the 30:1 models here and they are pulling aprox 200ft/min with them, they haul 2 to 5 pot trawls here with them out of 100 fathoms no problem. They also make them with a capstan head(can't print the real name:rolleyes:) or they have a kit that allows both the discs and the capstan to be mounted together. Let me know if i can help.

I have a Electra-Dyne with a 10" SS disc's, 20:1 redution box. Works great for hauling up the anchor, plenty fast enough (also plenty of power).
