Anyone use one of these with a davit to pull pots and anchor? Which would you reccomend?

Why ?? those things are dangerous if you get a riding turn around them and wind up a hand or sleeve if you can't shut it off. Do you need the gypsyhead for another purpose? Electra dyne makes a kit that you can mount a gypsyhead on top of the hauling sheaves, best of both worlds. They also make a stand alone gypsyhead puller.

I would think the geer ratios and pull speed would be very different for anchor vs pot. If you pull a significant # of pots get a pot puller and if you don't want to mess with an anchor windless get a light spade or fortress anchor with mainly line and you don't need a windless.

I've got a Powerwinch capspan 1000.
Works & plenty of power but slow as hell, planning to replace it with an Electradyne over the winter.
