On my SISU 22, I have a VHF, older Garmin GPS and FF. They are all fixed mounts but I take the GPS and FF off their mounts and put them in the cabin when I am not using the boat. Which means I have to reverse the process when I use the boat. It is a bit time consuming to set them up and put them away, plus I don't want to break any of the pins. The boat sit on a mooring or dock when not in use.

Do most people remove their electronics when they are not using their boat? I am not too afraid they will be stolen but you never know. Any feedback is appreciated.

flush mount those jewels. simple enclosure shroud would do the trick too with anti tamper fasteners

I am a newbie,but I keep mine mounted. The sad thing,I don't use ANY of them !
