A video or someone doing that would be twice as funny as the still photo. Its amazing how much work someone will do to do something wrong. :(

Ain't that the truth! My wife has been interviewing for a job for the better part of a year... Just found out last week, she didn't get it. Now she's out of a job completely, and we are looking at moving our family out of state. Perhaps the Twin Cities, MN. I'll probably have the only Downeaster on Lake Minnetonka .

Makes my problems seem small. I feel for you. I do think though the sun rises every morning with the chance of a better day.

Absolutely! There is another opportunity in Nashua, NH. 40 miles from Newburyport. Not the 2 miles from the water that I am in South Portland, but a hell of a lot closer to the ocean than Minneapolis! Either way, life will work its self out.

Twin Cities, now that is a problem, NO SALT IN THE WATER. What does she do for work interviewing for a year, must be pretty technical. I wish you the best of luck and you could live a little west of Hampton and have her cruise 101 into Nashua keeping you closer to the Salt Water

I will admit the other guy who runs my boat does flemish the lines. It does look like good seamanship and squared away. Sorry Guys, just my feelings after being in CG for 29 years and having time for busy work. You should see some of the splices and whippings we use to do on towing hawsers. Good winter projects.

I admit it I've been known to Flemish my lines, but more than one bight is not needed. Its the figure eight wraps that secure the line. On the Tugs we never put a bight on the line. If it gets pressure on it you'll never get it lose.

She runs retirement communities. Got to go where "the community is". I'm in healthcare, which is pretty transferable. I've always lived on the coast. Neither place has offered her a job, so time will tell, maybe it'll be neither place? Can't stay in our present situation on my salary alone for too long. We've been in Maine for 13 years.

I think Lake Minnetonka has a boating season of July 4th thru August 3rd.

I wish you the best of luck, leaving ME after 13 years could be tough. Then again there must be plenty of retirement communities in FL and some great fishing.
