One of the "hiccups" I mentioned in the other thread and a case where they stood behind their product , removed and replaced the engine with a cost of zero dollars to the owner, including haulouts, fiberglassing and labor , something usually not done by other brands.
Hello all, we know all about it, I did the investigation and was involved with the payment in full of replacing the engine. This was an assy. error on the assy. line and failed in the first 50 hours of operation. FPT stood behind everything including all of the glass work and all of the labor and so on. Anyone that wants to can contact the owner of Jill Cayden and ask him what he thinks. He has run the engine very hard since and raced in all the races he could get to last year in the MLBR. He did very well also might I add and he is running still. Tell me a product that hasn't had some failure such as this.
Look, I am not going to tell you that everything is perfect and that would be a lie from any manufacturer, but I can tell you that we have a lot of the FPT product out there and these failures are not the norm at all. In fact if you read through some other posts earlier I stated that we had 2 C13 failures due to assy. issues that were caught so that no others occurred thereafter!
Thanks for bringing it up so that I could clear the air.
