I started to research this because up until yesterday it seemed we‘d have no Spring. This will give time to ponder. My friend Norris bought a Penbo Trawler, Maine built. In the salon was an old Shipmate "Skippy" wood/coal stove. When I remarked on its quality Norris said, "Ya want it?" The attached photo is where she sits in the starboard aft corner of my salon. The few real cold winters we've had here on Coastal Carolina she's pumped out heat to needing a fan to blow some forward! I'm sure that some late September nights in New England I will be glad to have that stove handy. A new company has obtained the molds from Shipmate and are making the "Skippy" and the range, #211. Another foundry is making stoves from some Lunenburg molds as well. I'm attaching their websites along with my "Skippy" on its throne!
