Finally picked up the boat!

Well I finally picked up the boat... What a story but aren't all downeasters?
Picked up a 1996 RP 35 with a 430c cummins. It's definitely commercial and what I wanted and could afford. It has definitely killed some fish.

Almost didn't make it out of hurricane sandy. Had a 39 silverton come to rest in the transom. Only scratches and nightmare getting fuel.

Joey had that boat rigged good. Definitely got a sweet ride that boat has caught a lot of fish from NC to the Cape.

We'll tonight after a three day adventure she sits up on Cape Cod. Made it in time to bring my wife and daughter for a ride too. Really looking forward to fishing this boat as I feel I havent been in the past five or seven years as much as I've wanted too. Its basic but is set up for hardcore fishing, the Metal Hallide lights are awesome. Only downside is no head, have to work on that with the limited cabin trunk.

Slept like a baby on it the first night in Lindenhurst from 8pm to about 6am, do not think I've slept like that since a teenager. Usually an 11 to 6 person. Rough she is but a gem and perfect for what I wanted and the price. Thanks for all the well wishes...

I think it says something to be able to pick up an old boat, drive it about 160 miles in two days without doing anything to it. I didnt expect it to go as smooth and now get to dream about my next project on the boat. Thinking deck hatches and correct the electrical.

Mike, boat didn't pick up much speed but amazed that I could run everything with all the breaker panel switches in the off position. My first project is going to be to correct all of that as there is about three times the wires and connections than what is actually on the boat! Perfect though, owner couldn't have been better at it. He still has alot to recover from down there...

Frank and Dicks had fuel but no one to pump it. People laugh at me, but I love those Water Puppy pumps with spare impellers. I ended up pumping fuel to myself there as their pump failed. Glad I got it...

Hopefully will be a cod adventure next weekend or setup some electrical stuff...
