Fire island inlet

Anyone know the status of fire island inlet?

Wondering about making a passage out of there this weekend with a deboat and a 4' draft.

Anyone know how bad montauk got hit?? I will make some calls in the morning but may need fuel there.

I can only imagine the debris in the water.

I can't help with the condition of the inlets, but go slow and watch out for whole houses as submerged debris heading out to Montauk . No joke, that's what they are reporting off Jersey.

With a 4' draft, and the average depth of the Great South Bay being 4', you may find sandbars where they didn't exist last week.

Not sure about Fire Island but I know Moriches is crazy. There's a new 400' wide inlet East of the existing one punched into the beach with nothing but a small Island in between the new and old inlets. I hear there were 4 new breaks along Fire Island.
