Fish Boxes

So on my many hour ride home from fishing today I was thinking about this fish box in my cockpit. Granted space isnt a problem with my 17' x 13.5' beam or so.

I really like above deck fish boxes, makes everything easier. When I first saw the boat the previous owner had 3 on there, holding something close to 2500lbs of ice. I have this one box here now, not sure if I want to keep it, make another fiberglass one or two.

I have had the plastic boxes before and really like them as they are easier to purchase.

Not sure which path I want to go down. The only thing I dont like about the box now is the depth, great for storing cores, but not small fish, ie cod like today...

I've heard the insulation in fiberglass boxes is much better, but not sure this is true... Up until now, I always kept it SPORTY with coolers... but now times are a changing..

Why does the Iphone always twist the picture...

Any input?

I can tell you, if I had a jigging machine, they would be coming right over the rails! Just like the video, um yeah... Funny but I havent fished cod in 10 years now.... Forgot the fun of pulling fish out of 230-260' of water... but wouldn't trade it for anything...

Sometimes I use my antique Penn Senator just to aggravate my son with all his fancy Shimanos, you know the ones geared 99:1

But after 2-3 reel ins from 200 + feet I put awaybthe old technology!!

about the i phone if you take pictures with the phone truned to the side, rotate to the port 90 degrees from straight up the pictures come out right.

You can also delete the orientation tag when you download it to your computer.

If the problem with box having smaller fish in it is picking them off the bottom make a homemade pallet and when the box has ice, fish and water in it the pallet will raise and bring the fish up. If not is not you rconcern sorry.
