I was wondering if anyone had any experience with a brand for folding cleats that they liked. I have seen some fold up cleats vs the pop up cleats that I liked the looks of but I have no idea on the brands.

Thanks for the info. I will definitely do a pop up if I can't find a folding one. My friend has folding cleats on his 32 holland and he doesn't know the brand either. I like they way they look when they are stored vs the egg shape bump of a pop up.

I have four Accon Marine 8" SS folding cleats (with two built in threaded bolts). I got them on ebay and they aren't cheap. Good news is easy installation, very rugged, they pop open with a push of a button (spring-mechanical operation). My brother-in-law has the pop up (not folding) cleats and he had a problem with one not working properly. Best part is that they fold down and you can walk on them = no stubbed toes and sleek looking design.

Accon makes nice stuff, you can't go wrong there. I have the Attwood pop-up cleat and have been very happy with them.

Thanks Eastporter. Those are nice looking. The ones I have seen have a square base vs the oval but I do like them better than a pop up. Do you have the stud mount or the 4 hole mount?

I have the flat top cleats on my 34 Wayne beal and yes the are awesome. And they did make it through the hurricane tested. I had my dragger boat tied to other side and they held. I did buy the ss plates that go behind. Very happy with them.

Hey Tunascapes I looked at those FT cleats @ Hamilton Marine they are super heavy duty.
IMHO I think they need drain holes otherwise the cleat displaces the water thats in the channel. Will you order from the website???
