Yeah Bill, lets leave this one up, we are talking Downeast boats, plus he has no ties to the thread at this point.

I'll even modify the pic if I have to.

Who knows, one of us may eventually end up with this rig.

does anyone have experience with a 36' nb? this boat only cruises 15 knots, that seems slow for that set up..

The boat is listed at 92k. It's got to sell close to that number or I'm keeping it for myself. The boat cruises at 18 mph and tops out around 22 mph. If anybody has any questions you can email or call me directly. Anybody that thinks a 2001 36NB for 92k isn't a good deal needs to have their head examined

It's not the boat it is the 4000+ hours on an engine that is questionable and looking at possibly replacing the engine for 50K it is not worth it. It would make more sense to build new. Sorry you don't feel the same way but that is just how it is.

That boat by all indication should have a few thousand hours on it easy. Thats from a bunch of peoples mouths including Yanmar techs and builders who I've talked with about the boat. Sorry but I'll take their word over yours. Most quality downeasts on the market like this one have those numbers for hours and thats why its priced where it is at 92k. Given that this boat should have a few thousand hours on it easy. Boat was ran right at cruising speed and maintained throughout its life. Thats all there is to it.

I can't understand why the seller of the 36NB for sale keeps arguing about all of this.
The boat's on the market. He says it's worth 90K+ "all day long"
AND nobody's buying!
That says it all.

It's a nice boat. Laid out perfectly for my needs. Color is not for me.
The engine IS the variable on this deal.
Used marine diesel engines are ALWAYS the variable in pricing a used boat.
The higher the engine hours the bigger the variable.
