furuno gps antenna disconnected cable fix?

I have afuruno gps gp320b reciver
top side antenna inside tread area cable is damage ...
halfway to disconnected ......
I was requst furuno factory but
furuno said unfortunly
only way to just replace whole thing(cable with new antenna)
any idea for fix ?location ? who can fix ?

The splice would have to stay up inside the antenna or it could be pulled apart when threaded onto the base. Crappy design - surprised to see that from Furuno. If that's your primary GPS I'd buy a new antenna.

If you look at the photo carefully you can see it was installed improperly. There should have been a small fillet between the threads and the cable. The best products in the world can be defeated by mans stupidity.




Ever think it could have been an accident.:roll:
