30 years ago is was $7.40 to the boat? The price has decreased instead of increased. While in the meantime all expenses have increased.

I think it was about $12 for chix and as high as $ 20lb for 2 to 3 pounders.

People must have been rich to buy them at that price so long ago! Can't imagine what that would equate to nowwa days.

Up untill 2008 the price would always go close to 8.00 a pound in the winter. Hell I remember a few trips we got 10.00 a pound. But then again we would only come in with 80 or so pounds most days.

Boat price here today is 4.20 I thinkIits been going up a little bit every couple days,not much being landed,so it could be a dime or so more.

Out of curiosity. How far out can a lobsterman go (in maine in my case) with traps? I've seen discussion in reference to 'a federal permit'. Not sure what that means. I'm guess once you go out so far, it's federal permits.

Anything past the 3 mile requires a fed permit. The fed has different permits too.

Locally up to $5. lb.. Rumor has it that novi is mixing the junk pound stock with some new caught which for a change is holding down the price,

Wonder what all new caught would be worth???
