Any one done it? My friends Calvin Beal seems to have it on the cabinetry inside. I want to do it the same inside my house once I build it. It'll be a watertight house. I'm just thinking about the wood expanding and contracting and the gel coat chipping off. I already have so much to glass I'd rather not have to coat the inside of the house and cabinetry with resin. Any input would be great, thanks.

If you intend to gelcoat it I would highly advise you to put at least 1 layer of matt on the plywood first...I've been repairing stuff like that for a very long time. It WILL crack moisture will get in and it won't come out until you rip the rot out. Same goes for beams, posts, etc.
