For removing gelcoat.Sorry, but I give...what's a Gel Coat planer?
Don't you just sand to fair and polish?
Thanks.
We have an entire topsides to do and not a flat spot on the entire surface so I don't think a power plane will work. The gel planes, the good ones, have a cylindrical drum, like a power plane, but have cylindrical adjustable guides on each end so it can follow both convex and concave surfaces. The guides are separately adjustable one side for depth of cut and the other to zero to ride on what has already been cut.Not sure how much you need to remove, but I have been using the Bosch planer. Works well. I hook up to vac and nearly no dust. Beats grinding.
