Georges Boats Busted???

Anyone hear anything about what happened at Georges? Not sure if its a rumor or not, but heard on the radio yesterday the the USCG, Canadian CG and the planes were out there because US boats wer 7-25 miles into Canadian waters fishing for tuna.

I might be missing something but why would the Canadian CG be getting involved with Georges bank?

What you are missing is where the Canadian line is located. Look at an offshore chart of Georges Bank.

That is serious if you get grabbed by the canadians. At least two boats from the tuna show are out there.

all of the boats were 1-2 miles over the line. the canadian 200ft cutter showed up and they all scurried back to the west......and the fishing is slow

Funny, a little different. I have a Bosun on my ship who got busted running a boat out of Gloucester back five or ten years ago. He was line jumping on a dragger got busted, forget if it was five or ten years can't captain or own a boat.
