This is what i use. 10' 4" schedule 40, 5456 aluminum. With a 2000 # electric winch. Easy for solo fishing. Also makes a great place to store your Harpoons, 500 W Anchor light, Morad VHF antenna and radar reflector. Works great.

Haven't had a chance to post this but here is my gin pole/hauling davit combo. Made up all 316 stainless. Swings and pins where I want it. Btw, my old davit is for sale in the classifieds
