Saw this on C L Maine...27 foot fiberglass lobster boat at 50% completion. Excellent workmanship throughout and stored indoors. Buyer can finish either as a pleasure craft or for commercial use. Many outfitting items included. Boat has to go. Approximately $30,000 plus labor invested. No reasonable offer refused.

I went and looked at the boat yesterday. The hull was started in 2000.Bob's work on the boat is first rate. The Cummins is a high hour unit (9500) that hasn't been run in 11 years so I can't see somebody not just relacing it now before the build. The gear is a ZF 2.5-1 with a 1.5" shaft. The boat does have enough room to spin a large wheel so the gear could be used. Unfortunately the cost to finish this boat would probably be more than it would be worth if Bob was to recoup his investment on the sale. He is aware of the market and willing to take an offer. Very nice guy and I wish I could have made him a fair offer but the are so many boats available all ready built for short money. As for the green hull there is always AWL-grip.

Finish.

What do you think it would cost to finish. Not including labor Of course. How much life's left in the engine. Was it overhauled

The engine was a running take out that has sat for 11 years. I wouldn't finish the boat with out replacing the engine before I started. Just doesn't make sense. New motor 20k, as for the rest grab a Hamilton's catalog and price the parts out the way you want to finish it.
