Marbleheads First Harbor by Hugh Peabody Bishop & Brenda Bishop Booma

Found this great book on the pioneer days of offshore tub trawls & lobster fishing in smaller boats out of little harbor. Talks alot about the evolution of downeast boat building. One of those books thats 300pgs. long that you wish was 600. Lots of vintage photos. Anyway great read thought i'd pass it on.

This book too is about the old tub trawl and dory days. I knew this guy when I was a kid, my dad was a good friend of him.
Nobody worked as hard as these guys did back then!

I worked for Brenda and Hugh for several years. It was my favorite job I ever had. Great, hard working people. The Mistress was a beautiful boat. I remember going dog fishing with Hugh and being absolutely exhausted at the end of it and realizing that Hughie was just getting warmed up. The guy is a machine.
