So I just got the green light with the wife to proceed with a new hull. I really had to work at this one but thankfully it was easier as we didn't own a boat already and she misses boating this year too. Okay, my 3 yr old daughter keeps asking about going out on the boat too might help.

This will be the first time I will be documenting a boat myself. The last two boats I have owned were all state registered. This one will be 35' and with chartering figure its time to make the move up. My father always used this guy in Plymouth for the documentation services and permit transfers etc.

I was wondering if someone had an contact info on people like that, other things to expect, etc. Thank you.

Congratulations

Shawn,

Just have the builder help you out with this and what did you decide to go with a Duffy 35 or a Young Brothers 35 and who will be the finisher? Come on the anticipation is killing me and I want to see another build project on here, Congratulations and good luck.

If you're fianancing through a bank, the only documenation a bank will allow is "recreational". "Coastwise trade" documention is really needed to be a legit charter.

I am a USCG Licensed Engineer and Captain... I hardly believe that USCG and painless go in the same sentence... Ha, just kidding, thanks for the helpful input... thanks...
