Ok, the good news is that greenstick is working great and the new bird from sportsman landing is running sweet.

So far, we've had four really good knockdown. But the bad news is zero came tight.

In looking at the bite marks on the lures, it seems clear what is happening is that the fish are grabbing the egg sinker I'm using to weight the lures and never getting to the hook. I need to remove the egg sinker, but still want some weight.

Should I use cigar sinkers, use smaller eggs, or go without any added weight?

Frustrating. At least one of those hookups was a really good sized fish.

Anyway, I've attached pictures of the lures.

Ideas?

Those are squid nations, only these are 9 inchers. I also have 12 inchers rigged with smaller eggs, but didn't put them on because I liked the rasta more than green. ;)

Ok, will re-rig. smaller weights, with swivels on the hooks and I'll have the hooks extend down further so the eye isn't in the body. I guess I'm not trying to hide the hooks since the lures aren't being pulled through the water.

Sounds like a plan!

Thanks!
