Had to say goodbye to my 10 year old lab this morning, a sad day at our house, but thankful for the years that he gave us. My best friend, and best friend to my 9 year old son, he will be greatly missed.

It’s unimaginable the sorrow felt when losing our best buddy. It’s a deep hole to emerge from but she is the reason I now have two. A rescue and a pup. I love um’ both and I have her to blame for that. I still miss her.

I did the same thing yesterday morning about 430am Colin that’s crazy. Minnow lived a good life, loved boats and fishing, didn’t like the diesel noise though.. she lived 16 years and will be missed ..

Definitely one of the hardest things to do but 16 years of joy makes it a little easier. My last dog was 15 when we put him down.

We have had 3 LABS, Yellow (15 years old,) Chocolate (12 years old) and Black (14 years old). Wanted another Yellow but found this Red Fox Lab. Did not know Fox Red color existed. 10 weeks old here and gonna be a real good dog.

Very cool pup; good luck! I have had 3 black labs as labs rule. 15, 14 and still going at 14+ for the third one.

Red labs are cool. Do not see many afield. I trained one of my Goldens with Lois Munro Brookfield NH to run in hunt tests and she had one in the class. First red lab I observed training for field work.

 

[Frigate]

This is Duffy our puppy. He is 50 % Labrador 45% Australian Kelpie (a herding dog) and 5% Border Collie. We got him in December and he is now 10 months old. He has learned a lot since we got him but as of yet he has not been introduced to the boat.

Had one for a long time. Just took a ride this weekend to NC to pick up a new pup. I hope Hazel has many good years ahead. Like the last one filled with spirit and pretty funny.
