A tower is one of two things, its either a tool or its eye candy. If you need it to put fish in the boat then the question answers itself, if its eye candy then keep the boat the way she is now it looks real nice. Not to mention the lost speed, increased fuel burn and enhanced roll of the boat due to the tower. Leave her be unless it puts dough in your pocket or you want an expensive smile on your face.JMO

Your boat looks great. Do you mind if I ask what make and what's in it?
Thanks-Phil

I get to fish on this boat and except for the Captain/Owner being a real ball buster(jk), I have nothing bad to say about the boat and its performance and capabilities.

I have the same hull. As you know I am working on doing just as you did, pulled tower off and remove flybridge. I also have one for sale if your looking

Maybe a nice slider at the helm would give you a less claustrophobic feel. You could almost be half outside while running.

I actually meant a sliding door, not a window. I know its not exactly like being outside, but it does make a difference. Good luck with the boat, you did a nice job with it.

When we built ours I really wanted to run her from outside, but I'm not a fan of flybridge's on boats our size 31'. I disgined in big sliding side windows, an opening center window, and a hatch above the helm station to create good air flow and the feeling of being outside. While it's works great, I still miss being outside.

One thing I've looked at is instead of a flybridge just a roof level "tower" with a helm station and a leaning bench. I've seen them, but haven't described them very well.

Good luck.

David
