help anyone know about a 36' wayne beal hull ?

MDI is that main cabin door hindged in middle? or on slider? I'm gonna replace my slider with hinged folding door...that's why I ask.

Tomy,it is a slider....i had it made at a local welder...i copied the diamond seaglaze door....i have one on my mdi also....if you need more pic let me know

MDI how would you describe the caracteristics of the 36 Wayne in a head and following seas? How is she on the drift? I've never been on one before. Any detailed info or quirks about the hull would be helpful.

Jackson,the only time you would have to pull back is a tight steep head sea...other then that the boat is fantastic....drifts like a dream

NO its in Island Park where i built it...i wish it was for sale ...the guy i sold it to never uses it...maybe 20 times in 12 years

I'll second what MDI stated, 36 Wayne is very solid 36, very stable and feels big for a 36. I have been going stern for one that fishes around here when im not off at school, finished by farrins with 3000 series c13 700 cat, only time the ride is at all uncomfortable would be head on when its real dirty out, the comfort level is easily manged by backing off the throttle allitle. The boat is suprisingly fairly efficient, 32knts wot

I fished with Capt John Demaio out in montauk and I believe his boat the Vivienne was a 36 Wayne Beal. I loved that boat. I fished it in all sorts of weather conditions around 25 times and I thought it was great all around ride in all sea conditions and on the drift or hook.

Reelman,Johns boat was a 36....do you know if he sold it?

I went out there looking for him either last year or the year before and the boat was gone. The word around the dock was that he was ill and the boat was sold and I think it went to Connecticut but I'm not 100 % on that. Boat was awesome

Vivienne had a stick built top if I remember correctly? Not Wayne's top. I will never for get they were part of the rescue attempt of Marty (iron tuna) when he got tangled In the anchor line and went over. His poor kid did everything he could do to save him. Sad day,Rip Marty!

I think that was the 2nd or 3rd 36 hull from WB?

Sorry for the late reply. I fished Montauk NY for many years on a WB 36.....under all conditions....some pretty nasty. It is a great boat in all seas. As another member posted...head on a big sea you might have to back off a little....But frankly...what boat would you not. Good Luck
