herring gill net

What size mesh/ length/ height would you all recommend for herring gill net?

Check your state regs. For example NH stipulates a 3" mesh size.

I called nero. The *Maximum* mesh size is 3"
There are other regs too depending on your permit

I dont think NH can say what size mesh you use in federal waters.......if so you wont be catching herring with 3 inch unless there Shad

I agree. And yes of course not 3" for herring.
