Holy Crap I just felt an earthquake!

Magnitude 4.6 earthquake just hit Maine. Never felt anything like that before in my life. It was centered 20 miles west of Portland.

Yep -That was nuts! Thought someone was falling down the stairs at first. Turned out to be a 4.6 centered around Hollis, ME. Was on the phone with someone in metro Boston at the time and he felt it too. Guess I can scratch that off my list of natural disasters now.

Rolled nicely through the Merrimack Valley northshore of MA.

I thought my wife had driven through the garage door but the rumbling, window rattling and the house "rolling about" nixed that idea.

My brothers girlfriend is up in free port and she called him said it felt like the house was going to rattle apart and come down.

Felt it in Ledyard ct. I live near freight train tracks and it was different type of shaking than the trains make. More of a side to side motion.
