I'm going to start on my split house partition wall and i'm trying to figure out how wide the sliding door opening needs to be. I'm thinking somewhere around 28-30" wide opening should be good and i really can't make it that much wider. I realize that it should be as wide as possible but don't want to lose to much of the rear corner/return on the back of the cabin wall because i'd like to have some storage/shelves back in that corner.
The red arrows show where the corner/return will be and the door will slide forward to open. Steering helm will be moved to the right.
