I just did a complete service on my volvo tamd 41 a. Engine checked and toped off transmission fluid. Let the engine run agan for a while when I shut the engine off I could hear air coming out of dip stick fill location on the transmission Is this normal to have pressure in the system.

yes, and you might have filled too much in there. I have been told that you should not fill the trans up too much or you could blow out your seals due to that pressure.

I am sure someone on here who knows way more then me can help.

Thank you. For the reply I will take out a little fluid with a oil sucker. The pressure sound like opening a bottle of soda. Thanks agan

That sound is normal. I have been told it's best to have just under the fill line for trans fluid. It's best to check the trans level after engine has been warmed up.
