Just my opinion here,,, I hope this downeast boat forum migrates to and stays dedicated to what is IMO the true purest downeast boats.

Me too...but I am tolerant of some boat made in NH and MA. A few examples would be eastern 18' royal lowell, dyer, fortier, and MacKenzie/Brownell. I know my line is a little forgiving but I do not except privateer, parker, and steiger. Nother against these boats....Just not new england heritage.

Thanks for the feed back .. Ok you convinced me.. Originally when I built the site I figured a lot of guys would want those boats on here but since there hasn't been much interest and there is some true Downeast guys on here I am going to take that section off.. I do want those owners to feel very welcomed on the site and to contribute because if they signed up on here they clearly have a passion and a good amount of respect for downeasts and are probally thinking about buying one and this is the place to find out the who what when where why about all downeasts and I hope to be the best place to get advice on what to buy

Yikes!!!! I feel like the red headed step child! It's okay guys, I've had to deal with Boston Whaler, Grady, Pursuit, Jupiter, Regulator, Contender, etc., etc., etc., snobs all my life, I can handle you DE guys.

Jim.. dont feel that way.. what do you think all the members on here have downeast boats? wrong...this is place to learn all about downeast boats no matter what kind of boat you own..that is the whole point of a forum..to learn, ask questions, and exchange advice / info which basically saves time and money
