Information on 16ft Wooden Novi Skiff

I bought this 1981 carvel planked 16ft novi skiff from Tenants Harbor, Maine. The only thing I could get out of the owner was that a local man that owned a marina had a reltaive in Nova Scotia that built these skiffs and he would bring three of them down every spring to sell in the states. I would appreciate any additonal information on these boats.
