had oil coming out wet exhaust , black smoke , seemed to idle fine after, ran back at about 1400 rpm no oil, no black smoke . what do you think ? THANK YOU bouncing pressure gauge also
Hello, how is the oil level? Are you sure it is oil and not fuel? Have you checked the turbo charger for a shaft failure or seal failure, see if the impeller and shaft are all afloat with too much clearance where the fins could contact the housing. The bouncing pressure gauge could happen if you are low on oil or filling with fuel and diluting the oil so that the viscosity changes and becomes too thin. Let me know. I have a dealer in S. Dennis who could come and check it out (S&J Exco), one in Charlestown MA (Steve's Shop) and one in Fairhaven (Yankee Marine Diesel).had oil coming out wet exhaust , black smoke , seemed to idle fine after, ran back at about 1400 rpm no oil, no black smoke . what do you think ?
