Hi Guys...I am looking at a 47 foot McCoy with keel cooling. I am in the South and don't see much of keel cooling. The plumbing from the cooler to the DD 671 is done in Galvanized pipe. Is this common practice or what other type of metals are used? Thanks for your input...

There was a set of Walters keel coolers on Uncle Henry's for a small John Deere ....generally they are made of bronze

You are saying that the internal plumbing is galv pipe? I don't see any problem with that, most external cooling tubes on engines are steel tubing, and most engines are made of steel. If the cooler itself is iron, like on a Novi boat,I could see a concern.
