saw her from afar from the DYC a few weeks back, was over there for a wedding. Wanted to hop in the car and go take a closer look during cocktail hour but that probably would not have gone over well with wife.

on the FB page there is a picture of the boat and what looks like one of those "fish/diver's" hanging on the side of the boat. I know they use them on outriggers on draggers but why would they have only one on that boat ?? I don't think it would do much to stop any rolling ?? or is it something else ???

Those things are the balls for chumming. I have one of the very early models and it's still going !!

Steve their called birds, but that's not one :D

That must be a little one, I know mine looks a lot bigger on the side of my boat :D

Birds or (parivains) for use what sissy sticks or (outriggers) heavy steel poles spaning the beam outward but like the boys said the not. The chum chuckers work great when chumming with chunk bait better then any mate every tuna boat should have one.

I'm very familar with outriggers and birds, divers, fish paravanes or whatever else they might be called, got a few years dragging under my boots :-D. Now the chum chucker is a different story, cool invention maybe i need one up here for baiting bears ???

Kodiak sighting

Saw the Kodiak out on the water this afternoon while chasing whales around on the Atlantic Queen. Boat looks pretty sexy sitting on anchor with the rods out.
