Greetings. Is there a rule of thumb for how income is distributed amongst the captain, the crew, and the boat itself?

For example, catch-expenses(gas/bait) divided by a % for crew/capt/and boat.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Bill

At the rate fuel is going up I have a feeling 100% of the catch is going straight into the fuel tank
Roger that!!! For what we're allowed to bring in down here right now it is not worth the fuel$ or hours on the engine....or throwin the lines off!:mad:
Time to go watch the clams grow....:confused:Jo

Most stern men here get either 15 to 18 % off the top or 20 to 23 % after bait and fuel. The higher pay is usually for a helper that has been with the operator for awhile and has proven his worth

I've heard of a lot of guys just doing it themselves, depending where you lobstering that is. Inshore I think a decent about of them fly solo.
