I'll never understand a boat of that size with an engine box, limits your layout possibilities so much

I know I hear ya. I would be doing mostly chartering so I think it would work for seating. Need all the seating you can get when it comes to chartering. I think she cruises at 18kts and that's what I really need.

Seems like a nice bare boat, for around 40 k. Gotta figure 30k for a repower. It's funny how people are willing to buy a worked de. For big money, but overlook the boats that haven't been worked , with 20 % of the hours and decked to the hill.
I realize its tough to pay top dollar for a boat that's not 100% set up like you would like, but if you want bare bones, buy a kit and put a power plant in it. Upgrade it for your needs.

Rob these lobster boats are hardly pushed and are almost always ran very easy. They show battle wounds on them but most are babied and that's why you see so many with 15-20k hours an still working everyday.

I would , but If I was going over 35 I wouldn't go with the Duffy . Certainly if under 38 /40 it would be on the list. The few quotes I've gotten for the 38 are over what I can afford. Gotta bank some money first.;)

The 31 bhm in the classifieds would be my pick over this. Don't know the guy , or boat but if this 33 is on your list its worth a look.

I'm sure the deer has the other half of its life left in her , but there seems to be some better used deals out there in that price range, just gotta do a little traveling.

The boat has a clean john deere with 3500 hrs. Why would i have to consider 30k for a repower? I'm in the charter business now and to tell you the truth i think this boat is too pretty for what i do. I am not out to impress my customers with how pretty my boat looks, i think this boat while not having some the finish qualities as some others on here would still be a money maker in the chartering business.

I need 18 kts cruise. You guys think this boat is in that range.

Plenty of knowledgeable Flowers fans/owners can answer the speed question, and I'm sure will pipe in.

Both boats in this thread look like solid platforms to me (what one can tell by pictures).

It appears to me from reading his posts, that Robert_M seems very willing to chase ghosts for his boating desires. Each person has different preferences/needs/desires. That's what makes this forum interesting.
