Thanks badattitude and eastporter. I need to get some interior photos of the Jim beal. Also spoke to the owner of the 35 Duffy yesterday and he was going to take some additional photos

Really appreciate the thoughts !

In order to fit you needs with a hardback, galley with a table you need to go to a 35 foot boat. At 65 k your are very limited. Probably the only fit in that price range would be the 35 Bruno or Naust. They made a F/B model with the layout you need. Most had 3208 CATs with production years from 1982 to 1986. 15 knot boats but a good fit for your needs & price range

A solid glass 35' Bruno would be on my shopping list. Do you need turn key or are you willing to put some sweat equity into one?

Keelboater - ideally turn key but also understand the financial limitations.

Must say having second thoughts about passing on the 31' Flye Point......

30' Sisu offshore downeast

This 30' Sisu has been for sale a while. Not sure if the hull is cored or not. Boat looks fairly clean and has accomodations for 4. Detroit power. Well under your budget. But it has the flybridge. 13 knot cruise. You may have seen this one already, not sure if it was posted here before.

I also have a 35 duffy & duffy lobsterboat. I did a lot of restoration work in 2012 and relaunched in fall of that year. Its been lobstering at a part time level since. works great. "Very efficient" if cost of operation means anything to you. I'd have to get 55k and the OK from my son. I have a idea he wants to go full time next season and show me how to catch lobsters:D

Given low supply of DE boats starting to consider a 31 ' Eastern. Any good leads for a Northeast boat ?

How about this one it is in my marina? It is clean and has low hours I think the owner wants about 130k.

I've got a 33 young brothers for 30k obo. You could buy it and with the extra 35k in your budget you would have whatever you wanted.

Nice looking vessel. I little light on HP. F/G fuel tank is a plus, but only 100 gallons is light if a repower is to be considered down the road. Helm to Port will take some getting use to...for me anyway. The price for a 1982 vintages needs some adjusting.
