Heading up in about an hour. Visit my brothr in York tonight & meeting 4 couples in portland tommorow for the show. St Paddy's in Portland should be a blast.................Went last year, good show, ecxellent vendors. A lot diiferent than the beef Jerky & shamwow sales pitches you get at the typical shows.

Went to Hamilton Marine next door today. No parking anywhere, really crowded. Will probably take the kids today after school around 3:30.

I thought I'd be able to go but got stuck on my ship. I have been several time and not much for fisherman at all, if anything. I love going there to see the different levels of finish, get good idea's and hit up some good spots in Maine. We would hit up Cabella's in Scarborough (maybe) then hit up the show, stop by Hamiltons, lunch on the waterfront and finish up in Kittery.

Let me know how the show goes, anyone know if Stacey Raymond, aka General Marine was there... Wondering what Duffy brought to the show this year...

Wow very disappointing! Atlantic Boat (Duffy) had a small kiosk and brought NO BOATS! General Marine had a small center console, I always love going on their GM 26. The usual skiffs, and such were present. But this was the weakest showing in the past 10 years that I have been going. It was a shame, I was looking forward to a rainy Friday afternoon in the Portland Company complex.

North Shoe 25 was there with a boat that was under construction. It was nice to see the unfinished boat.

There is on-the-premises parking at reasonable rates but free or meter parking is scarce in the Old Port even during the worst weather. The show provides free shuttle buses that stop along the waterfront all the way to the South Portland-Old Port bridge. A taxi ride costs pocket change. I can recommend J's Oyster, Becky's and Gilbert's Chowder House. Sample the local brews while you're here - try Allagash or Gritty McDuff's.

Made the run up today to pick up the v and side bunk cushions from the Portland Mattress Co. and stopped by the show. Took in the show for knowing it is not the commercial boat crowd. The best was the cutter heads offered by the Cross Sawmill out of Iron City, GA. Interesting guy to talk to. Always good to stop by Hamiltons. To bad Bryan had exams at work today and missed the bus. Made it a 12 hour trip.

Made it home at 6:15pm and dance started at 6:30pm, perfect timing for once. Will not be sleeping outside tonight.
