    Hello,

I joined here because I am considering purchasing a Holby Pilot 24. It has the 260hp Volvo diesel engine. The boat is a 2006 with 320 hours on it. Would like some feedback about the reliability of that engine or any experience with this boat. I love the lines of the boat and the stories on here are terrific.

    Thanks for having me!

I don't know too much about the D4, volvo parts and labor are pretty expensive. If this is an I/O they are very expensive to maintain and come with annual problems. I would stay away personally. Like many of us, we have owned an I/O once in our lives and never again.

It is an I/O. I've been reading quite a few stories regarding Volvo Penta and their issues. I've always had outboards and am pretty partial to Yamaha these days due to reliability.
    Thank you for your thoughts.
