Massive hake

Hello All,

We caught this beautiful 36 pound Hake aboard the OCEAN RUNNER last weekend. This was the biggest Hake I have ever seen along with many other charter captains I talked to.

Has anyone seen a bigger one?

Holy moly!! We catch the same critter down here while fishing for golden tiles in the "stream" from 600-1200' deep but the biggest one I have seen is only about 7-8 pounds at best. That looks like alot of awesome fish chowder to me.......Jo
