Has anyone on here dealt with this company before? Their website appears to have great prices, but I'm not so positive they 're current....

Purchased lots of gelcoat, resin, mixing pots, hull and deck putty, throw away brushes etc. His prices are not too far off from the catalog. It may be worth taking a ride out to his place especially if you need acetone. I agree his hull and deck putty is easy to work with.

Thicken up polyester with fumed silica and microfibers. Homemade, just like Ma' used to.

Joe was a huge help on my Midland restoration. He saved me over $300 just by telling me what I didn't need to buy. Fast shipping and he doesn't screw you on shipping costs.

I did not have a great experience with him.

Said he was going to mail me a color chart. Showed up in the mail about a month later.

I ended up buying elsewhere.

I have had hit or miss experiences with Jamestown Dist. I'm not saying it all bad but I think you are better off knowing what your looking for if you order from them. Iv'e had almost all of my items damaged in shipping from them because of sucky packing practices....However Joe from Mertons sent me everything I needed for my projects, along with talking me through each thing he included in my order. I just told him what I wanted to do and he made me a huge kit. saved me a lot of time, effort, learning curve, and money.

Joe Merton is great! He works very hard at having the best product and making sure it is packaged properly. BTW he does all the shipping himself.

Mertons is always my first and last call. He’s talked me through two refits and gets me just what I need to VA quick.

Joe Merton is a geat guy. I have done busines withhim many times. Great prices and great service. If you live in Northern ma, NH or maine, ask if i he is heading your way and you can possibly save on shipping. He has dropped off many items for me.

LBI I lost business with them after I ordered several items with them last March/April. Then they never told me they were only doing customer pick up only, I was not happy with that after waiting for shipping info etc. Was talking with a woman down there. Went to Mertons, love their stuff. I used LBI to send me their version of nidacore before worked great but not during a pandemic, could have said something about it.

I buy about everything from Joe Merton, top notch guy and has supported my build. Seeing him later today actually.

LBI are good people and have some great unique products they make on site, but are disorganized and hit or miss. Hate saying that because they are great folks but Joe beats them by a long shot all by himself. If I lived local to LBI I very well might pick them for that convenience and cost (of being local), there is nothing awful about them.
