Mufflers

I don't have one, the noise isn't bad inside but I'm sure behind me it's loud. What muffles work best? Do you think they help or hurt raise fish on the troll? I tried to put a sound down muffler on my old boat but couldn't fit it because of about an inch of room but thought it didn't need it after we were done. Just wondering if they are worth the $ and what ones are best.

My boat has straight wet 5in fiberglass tube exhaust.
Put one of these mufflers in last year, best thing I ever did !
It was a project installing it as it was a very tight fit and I did not cut the deck, worked through 2 different hatches. Also had to glass in supports for it to sit in, a job not easy without cutting the deck.

i have a vernalift muffler, extremley quiet.. 420 cat in a 35 duffy.

I also installed Centek mufflers, spoke with an engineer and explained the motor, size exhaust and and deck pitch. Centek make several different configurations of inlet and exit options. Was able to order direct and the price was better that a discounted one from Kellogg Marine
I was replacing the deck and decided to replace all the exhaust at that time. Should last my ownership.
