I am heading down to LI to be of moral support if nothing else to my best friend who's house was flooded. He doesn't know that I'm coming, and he would be stubborn and tell me not to anyway.

I'm going on day 4 without Power, boat survived but my dock got twisted up.

My family had 2 of our 5 houses flooded out, same thing as last year, Irene.

Not amused but was prepared so I have been burning through gas in my generator.

We will rebuild!!!!! ......again. :???:

Yes, things like this bring people together to help one another out.
Sad reality we live in times that it also brings people together that are the scum of this country. The major networks won't show much of it, but just google NY or NJ Looting

Storm left me homeless. I live on Rockaway Beach and it was completely destroyed. Entire boardwalk smashed through homes, fires all over.....I don't even have concrete left on my street. It's a f-ing waste land. Totally uninhabitable. I had generator all set and all kinds of survival shit but the damage was too far gone. Packed up with the woman and my 2 dogs and staying with a buddy until I can find a new place. I did live in the yellow condos....

My heart goes out to you Jackson! Glad you and your woman and dogs are physically okay. It must be inconceivable right now, but things can be replaced. The pictures probably don't do it justice... Simply wow.

Sorry for your loss. Rockaways got hit hard. Harbor light, St Francis, all those homes. My wife's family all scattered around at relatives as well.

Eric, thank you very much. I'm kind of glad that I couldn't buy your boat now. I would have probably killed myself trying to save it It's going to be years before Rockaway looks normal again.
