Active Captain includes marinas that are not on dockwa. And, of course Google Maps “marinas”.

I like your idea Andy! I've been contemplating doing the same thing down here. Your pricing is a lot better up in maine. We are on the East Passage side of Prudence Island, Narragansett bay. Our marina has been New England Boatworks for close to 30 years now. The owners sold out to Safe Harbors a few years ago....and sad to say the fisherman & the blue collar guys are being pushed out. They are investing big $$$..dredging to bring in megayachts, & huge catamarans...built a new travel lift pit able to accommodate boats up to 34' beam. Prices have gone up from $130/ft to the current rate of $180/ft!

There is nothing cheap about "on the water" in Maine. Land can get cheaper the further inland you go. I have 5 acres in Boothbay, I'm planning on eventually putting a building up for some indoor cold storage, after that, the more fill I get the more boats I can store.

Ditto, not to mention the cost of putting in a ramp. Then if you want to work on your boat you would have to be EPA compliant. Can you say OVERHEAD!
If you bought something inland, secluded a bit you could get away with a lot more.
Take where I am in Gorham. There is several pieces of property perfect for that, and you are only 30 minutes from over a dozen yards, or public ramps.
