Cummins will be replacing the long lived most popular diesel engine ever developed,,,the 5.9 liter inline 6 with the new 6.7 liter inline six.

Notice the "acceleration comment" in the 44 test boat.

It's all about increase in torque!!!!!

If/when I pull the trigger on a new DE build, and the boat is big enough, a QSB6.7 will be installed. "Figure QSB6.7 480 hp in a 32 H&H", or the QSB6.7 380hp in the 29 H&H"

Looks like hp ratings will be the same or similar to the existing QSB 5.9s.
250hp to 480 hp. but the same hp will be generated by a larger displacement 5.9 vs 6.7 meaning "more torque" !!

All good news for the ummins guys !! LOL
