Interesting build. How come the hull was not faired?

There are chines in this type of ply composit construction that do not go away and paint is dark primer that will help with more fairing on hull. Some of the chine will go away with rub rails. Use is none commercial and cost of one off is very high relative to FG plug boat(lots of labor). The idea here as with downeast lobster yachts is a boat of high quality with the functional and asthetic values of a working craft. Not a peice of brightwork dock furniture.

Here is some ferther follow up on my NW(not a DE) build. Probably will splash in about 2 months.

For a cruiser, I like the way the engine boxes were handled under the overhang.

I assume they will get some sort of custom cushion made??
Great place to hang out.

Cushions and roll up canvas to enclose. Boxes are big enough for day or night beds.

The swim platform has rudder running gear no tanks It also prvides WL lenght and extra flotation aft. The fuel cap. sl> 400gal. Hull speed about 9K. At 8K should burn <4gal.. At 10K about 5gal. The speed range 6K--18K The top end unknown we do have a significant power reseve with the twin JD 6.8L motors. We could M1 the motors and still have plenty of power so will cruise at 1/3rd throttle or less at 8K-10K.
