Man, I thought my Willis Beal RP was fat at 31' LOA and 12' beam.

She tops out at 30 Knots! Holy cow. I'd like to get those kinds of speed.

My money says you will have a ride on one soon enough! Way cheaper than building your own.

I think it said 30 mph. Still fast, but not 30 knots.

Petrel,

You are right MPH not knots but still faster than mine, and I've got 380 in ours.

I love that 30ft CB but not a fan of the engine box. I wonder how it would handle in 4-6 ft seas. I've heard that CB are a heavy boat in relation to other DE boats? Is there any truth to this?

Being just 30 feet and 12 feet, I wonder if this 30 "pounds" a bit in a 2 foot chop

2 foot? What's that to a downeaster? I don't even think of measuring seas that slight. Just a fuzz bit less than calm where I live. Wait, that is calm in Hatteras.
