- POGO/Seaway hull 1977 and Tartan 27 1967
I'm the happy new owner of Jamie's "Pogo" (26 Mar 2012 rjtwigg post). We wanted her for a "picnic" boat and some other plans on this old sailor's bucket list. I have been researching her designer and her builder (Penobscot Maritime Museum resources were very helpful) and hope to learn more, including her history before she came to Florida---any information would be appreciated. Jamie did the big jobs and I plan to continue with refinements and outfitting. This forum was very helpful with information that lead to deciding on a DE type (I was around Chesapeake and NC "Deadrise" boats as a kid). I would like to ask the advice of forum members as I move into a new type of boat for me. Thank you, Tom (Titusville, Fl) PS: What appears to be a Kevin Carney (Apprenticeshop) 24 DE is near me in the marina and for sale---I haven't been able to catch the owner aboard.
